Monday, 26th August 2013 was our 3th wedding anniversary. We decided to dinning out at restaurant, I’ve found in internet that there’s gourmet restaurant in Hannover, Basil restaurant. I never heard the name before, and very excited to try it.
We arrived at restaurant about 21:00 p.m, the building from outside is not so special, it doesn’t look like that there’s a restaurant there. As we went inside, the place were so quiet, but as one of the waiter escorted us, we’ve seen many guests sit outside in garden (at that time was nice weather, clear sky). We enjoyed the shining stars and thought where’s the Jupiter planet… :-).
We didn’t drink wine, we had just still water and fruit punch (mix of Maracuja juice an other fruits). Garnish with physalis fruit and sliced of melon. I’ve told the waiter that the punch had a nice decoration and he said that it was made with love, oh so sweet.
We’ve decided to have 4-course menu.
Before began with the menu, we had special small bites (prawn skewer with carrot ginger soup served on an espresso cup).

Quail with lentil salad
Jacob mussel with carrot puree
Black Angus beef with chanterelle mushrooms and gnocchi
Raspberry with chocolate mousse

He don’t remember what he have eaten …. 🙂 So I guess:
Pork with foam and potato puree
Salmon with radish and cream cheese
Tuna fish with green asparagus
Apricot sherbet and puff pastry
That night was rather cold for me, and the waiter gave me a blanket to make me warm, good service!.
So I suggest for someone who looking for gourmet dinner, you should try this restaurant, you won’t regret it. The price for our gourmet dinner and excellent service was not so expensive.
My husband said that was the best restaurant in Hannover that he ever tried and the best service that he ever had. We were really satisfied, and can’t wait for our 4th wedding anniversary… 🙂
